BLACKIE IS FINISHED!!! *THUD*
You do not want to know how many hours I knitted yesterday, [and into the wee wee wee hours of this morning]. I sacrificed sleep, people! HA! Did you know the USA basketball team won the gold? Yep. And they looked very happy on the winners podium getting their roses and medals. Yep. I saw the whole dang thing. Then went to bed, but not before setting my alarm for 9:00. Then back at IT.
So. Blackie is done. Finished. No more stitches to knit. Zippo. Of course, the ends need to be woven in, and the socks washed/dried. But the actual knitting on these suckers is FINISHED!
Will post a photo this afternoon. Must buy a special prop first. :)
Gahhhhhhhhhhhhh. /icing fingers
I've been knitting today. A LOT. As you can see below, we watched the womens' volleyball match. Then the mens' volleyball. Lots of track & field. The mens' marathon. A bit of synchronized swimming. Some diving. 30 sec. of twirling ribbons. MORE track & field. And now I'm taking a quick break to post a couple of photos for EVIDENCE that I'm still in the running for the Ravelympics medal. I do get a medal, right? *whimper* GO USA. Mens Basketball at 2:30 a.m. I hope I am sleeping by then. Srsly.
These socks are going to be huge. HA. I have my fingers crossed that the washing in warm water and drying will snug them up to a non-giant size. Good grief.
PROGRESS ::: Ready for the kitchner stitch on one. Now going back to knitting two more inches on the foot, then the monotonous TOE decreases. Then maybe I can go to bed. Please? And I will finish the k. stitches before 11:59:59 A.M.
I must withdraw my participation in the Knitted Boot category. *sniff* I can only do so much! Sheesh.
Ok. I've finished my snack, so I will now post two photos and then stumble back over to my cozy couch and Ott lite. Yawn.
